“Readers are plentiful; thinkers are rare.”

So I figured I ought to update sometime. What got me thinking about it is my husband is redoing his mom’s site. I was thinking I need to do something with mine as well. Just been very busy that or I am just tired.

In case you didn’t know it’s my first semester back in college. It’s been going quiet well. I haven’t declared my major yet. I am leaning more towards psychology. However there is a part of me that really wants to do an art degree even though I don’t think it will get me very far. I enjoyed all my classes for this part. I am going to be glad when all my math classes are over though. My favorite is probably history. I got a great professor and I just enjoy his lectures. His tests are tough but not impossible. I am registered for Spring classes. I am looking forward to my month break though. Finals are the week after next.

Still keep wanting to do more crafty stuff but homework usually consumes my time. Work sucks, but hey it’s a job. Cats are doing good. They need to go visit the vet just to make sure all is well. Been writing Christmas cards and should do decorations too soon. Speaking of I really want a Kindle. I can dream can’t I? I just think it’d be great and save us a lot space. As it is I already have 3 bookshelves if not more stuffed with books. I also like the idea of having newspaper and magazine subscriptions. However I wish it could have a color screen, maybe a couple years down the road. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! Try to update more. Maybe…no promises.

So I just started my job. I am working for a local grocery store chain. It’s alright. I worked for them before know what expect, which is not much basically. However I am making almost a dollar more this time around. I just put in application for admission to ETSU. So everyone wish me luck and hope for the best. I think it’ll go well though. I am planning on finding on job on campus because I want to be a full time student and I know I will need a light work load to do my best.

I haven’t done much with my beading. But I found not one, but two wonderful local bead shops. I would much rather support them than other mega craft stores. I have found the selection is better at my local shops and prices are about the same. Now if only I could find as nice of a fabric store. There is local one which is supposed be a good sized. Will have to look into it soon. I think to I am going to look into some bead classes. Including bead weaving and wire wrapping. I have also found out there are classes for lamp work which I really want to learn. I also picked up some books on polymer clay and PMC. It looks easy enough to try on my own.

We had a friend from Denmark visit. It was a lot of fun and think he a good time as well. We got to climb Rohn Mountain. It was so beautiful. I could of sat there forever. I just felt at peace. We also went to the Grey Fossil Museum. Really neat to learn what is hidden locally. I wish we had our nieces close by I know they would have loved it.

My mom will visiting here soon. I know we are going to the Biltmore and not sure if there will be any other plans. That’ll be lots of fun.

Felix and Tigger are doing good. Other than that not much else is happening. Things are looking up. I hope the same is happening for everyone else.

So I am thinking of making this my main blog. I used to be on Livejournal. However it just seems to be going down hill. I will still be on there to read friends and communities but I think that will be it.

Tomorrow my husband and I will be going to Johnson City,TN to look at rentals. So here is hoping that will be quick and painless. Even with my concerns for moving I do think everything will be alright. I am also finally going to work on going back to school. I decided I want to do my undergraduate in psychology either with a focus on child psychology or abnormal. A lot of stuff has happened that I just don’t want to go into. However in good news we adopted a new kitten. His name is Felix. He is a orange tabby and sweet as can be. However he is curious as can be and always finding ways to get into things. He and Tigger are best buds and always cuddling.

I have been doing more crafty stuff. I now know how to do bead work and little wire work as well. I also really want to learn how to work with PMC,metal work,polymer clay, glass and enamel. I love doing it. It’s so fun and easy. I still want to knit,sew, and crochet as well. I love all things crafty.

Our holidays were nice. We got visit Sean’s family for Thanksgiving. We went to mom’s and had dinner on Christmas Eve. On Christmas day we had a nice quiet day at home with the kittens.

I have also been playing a lot of Animal Crossing. So much fun. So there is my brief update and hopefully I’ll do more with this.
